Birdtown now has a WhatsApp Community
A space for neighbors to stay connected, plan gatherings, and build community — street by street.
We started this because email is too formal for “anyone want to come over Saturday?” and not everyone is on Facebook. Neighbors should have an easier way to stay in touch — something casual, something private, something that actually fits how people talk to each other.
That’s what this is.
The Birdtown WhatsApp Community has group chats for each street in the Historic Birdtown District so you can connect with the people closest to you, plus a community-wide chat for all of Birdtown. Join the groups that feel relevant, start new ones, react to announcements, vote in polls. Want to put together a book club, a parents group, or a pickup basketball game? Go for it. This space is yours as much as it is ours.
This community is open to everyone within our Madison to Plover bounds. If you know a neighbor who’d want in, bring them along.
If you’re not on WhatsApp yet, it’s free and takes about two minutes to set up. Download it on iPhone or Android and then tap the link above. We think you’ll find it’s worth it.
